To provide humane neuter/spay, health care and rehabilitation services, fostering and adoption for street animals in Turkey.

PAWS TURKEY is a sister organization of PAWS in Milo, MAINE, USA.

PAWS Turkey is located in Izmir, Turkey and has been established by a former Maine resident now residing in Karsiyaka who is an animal activist and supporter of PAWS in Milo. PAWS Turkey is a unique collaboration between PAWS in the US and Izmir volunteers. PAWS Turkey is working to provide sanctuary for injured or sick animals and actively seeks adoptive homes, funding for treatment. We also feed and water animals in vulnerable areas and provides public education on humane treatment and tolerance of street animals.

Hope We found Hope living near a cafe in an industrial area of Izmir. She was the most severe case of mange we have ever dealt with. Hope now lives in the US with a loving family.
Little Bit A beautiful little terrier rescued from the streets. She is now living on a horse farm in Maine, USA.
Mr. Bean Mr. Bean was found in a park two days old and wrapped in a paper napkin where he was dropped by kids. He was a favorite around here until he crossed over the rainbow bridge.
Umut Umut was brought to us via another rescue organization in Turkey. He had been through major surgery to repair a wound caused by a car accident. He is now living with a family in Turkey.
Puskul Puskul was found in the streets where she was dumped, old and very sick. She had kidney failure and a broken leg. She was sent to America for special care with our partner org, PAWS Milo.
Pamuk Princess Rescued from the streets of Cigli and adopted by DR House Temizlik Servisi owners, Christine and Ridvan. She is a pure Akbash, quite a find! As you can see by this photo, she really lives the life of a princess.
Duman and Nese Both Duman and Nese were rescued from the streets of Istanbul. Duman had been hit by a car and was left with a paralyzed leg that was removed. Both Nese and Duman are homed with loving families in Maine, USA.
Tom Jones Tom was rescued from Bornova and had cancer. He stayed with us until he passed over the bridge. We miss Tom, he was a special character.
Frodo Frodo came to us from a lady in Alsancak who rescues cats. He was blind due to massive eye infections and had to have one eye removed. Frodo lives here with us at PAWS Turkey with his best friend Floki our Terrier.
Saddie Saddie was found in the streets of Bornova. Sadly Saddie had an advanced case of leishmaniosis. Even with treatment we were not able to save her. She passed over the rainbow bridge in the arms of our loving volunteers.
Angel Angel was brought to us by a Vet from Bostanli. She had been hit by a car and had no use of her back legs. She sadly passed over the rainbow bridge but was well loved during her stay with us.
